Hooking up video game system to tv no remote? help!?
I have a phillips tv that I lost the remote to and Im thinking of getting a wii and hookin it up to it. It only has 5 buttons on the front. Power, volume up and down and channel up and down. How do I access the " video" option that you have on a remote? By pressing both volume buttons I can access the menu. The only thing I can see that I think might work is going to " install" then " tuner mode" which has 3 options antenna cable and auto. Is this what I need? which one would be for video games?

Well i've been playing videogames since i was 6. im 13 now and i think im ready to give them up and do something else because i love to draw, paint, and build lego sets. And they dont realy keep my interest anymore. I think i would like to sell them. I have a Xbox 360 and 40 games for it.Does anyone know any good ways to give up videogames and get them out of my system?

I'm a 21 year old male, about 5 foot 10, and i'm addicted to video games.Here s my gaming history 2003 2006 Runescape, Was really addicting, but consumed too many time. 2006ish 2011 Console gaming, mainly ps3, Gamecube in early 2006Present PC GamingJust recently bought a rig, plays all games max settings, Can play all emulators at full speed PCSX2 and dolphin As you can see above, i have done a lot of gaming over the years. Probably around 5 7 hours a day on Non Runescape Gaming. And possibly 8 12 hours on runescape, back when i used to play it. When i just recently purchased my rig and even before the purchase when playing games in general, it seemed that i didn't have a lot of fun like i had imagined i would have .I'm the kind of person that Has to game as much as i can or none at all. I can't do any in betweens.I'm 21 now, and starting University the oncoming year yes i barely went to school when i was young cause of my addictions . Will i regret giving up gaming completely? I feel like if i give up Gaming completely I'll be much more productive and not feel that i'm wasting my time. For about a month, Last month, I gave up gaming completely, as i was saving up some cash for a good video card. That month had to be the best Month of my life. Went to school, came back, did homework, Watched a bit of WWE, Spent some time with my family. I'm Hoping to be married before i'm 30 years old. So i don't have much time. I was born in the 90's and i love the old school gaming. I have a lot of emulators on my phone such as nes, Genesis . I don't play them too much, as i feel it is more casual. Will this satisfy My gaming desires etc? Other hobbies that i like but havn't gotten around to because of my addictions Basketball Religion Volunteering, Helping people in the community etcI totally feel like a robot, that's how addicted i am. I wish i could live like a caveman, like the good ol' days.I feel like i have played a life time of gaming. I'm not sure if i'm ready to move on.Going to be hard to sell my gaming rig, as i built it myself . I never even got to use it for 3 months Maybe i could possibly buy an old Snes or Genesis ? I miss those days..
Giving up video games for a at least 10 years...too drastic?
I would like to know what the public thinks about my decision. I have decided that I will give up playing video games until me and my family are financially secure enough for us to be comfortable. The time I play video games is time I could spend doing something productive that could net us more income. i.e. get a masters, MBA, or just learn a new job . I have been an avid video game play my entire life I'm 30 . What do you guys think? Too drastic? or just being responsible?
Cursed or messed up video game?
there was a video game i remember hearing about long ago that was either cursed and caused the players to die or go crazy. or maybe the game was so messed up, that it causes players to commit suicide, go crazy, or have terrible hallucinations that would lead to suicide, heart attacks, sever paranoia, or again going ape shit crazy. does anyone know what im talking about or maybe know a name and where i can find it? and no im not talking about the movie, stay alive. it was really old game.

After my Xbox 360 got the red ring of death a couple days ago I decided to quit buying video games altogether and open my life up a little more. This is day 3 and it has been HORRIBLE I just pace around the house lookin for something to do and it is so boring. I am about to turn into a Howard Hughes or Bobby Fisher maniac here. I've played them all my life and I'm addicted to them. I spend all the time I can playing them. I'm 14 and i don't won't to spend the rest of my teenage years without a social life. I don't won't any responses like" just quit playing them" , because it's not that easy.Oh and I hAve almost no social life other than school. I can't do any thing because my parents work till six except on Sunday.
Hooking up video games to a old television?
Ok , so I have a old television from the 90's in my room which I havent used in a while so I figured I would bring up some of my video game consoles to make it more fun in my room . Only problem is that I cant figure out how to get the tv into the rite video mode . For example on my flat screen samsung tv in my livingroom is has a video source button but the old tv doesnt have that and I cant remember how to hook up the video games . I know it works though because I used to hook it up all the time and play into the wee hours of the morning Im not really sure what kind of tv it is apparently its a sharp i think from 1994 or something .So basically , how do i select a video source ? like i go to menu and it says controls , alarm, adjust and setup . which one shud i go to ? ughh im so lost or should i be looking at the back of the television ?
