Is it true that video games are as addictive as crack-cocaine?
I've heard that someone did a survey or something and has concluded that video games of any kind can be as addictive as crack if the player likes it very much. At first I thought this was BS, but I've heard this from many different cites people, online, TV and I am starting to consider otherwise. Does anyone know for sure weather or not video games are really as addictive as crack cocaine?

I remember hearing about this video game that was really mean. Like sometimes when you turned it on it wouldn't have your save file anymore, and once or twice the screen would go black and it would say something about your file being corrupted and it erasing everything.

Don't get me wrong I used to think like this, I used to think that games were fun at best, but games like Alan Wake showed me a new world in which video games could equal, or possibly even surpass, movies. Any thoughts? Opinions?

In this game you played a young boy who made his treehouse into some kind of plane or flying ship, flew off away from home and crash landed on a strange unknown place where there were aliens.This is a game I am trying to remember the name of if anyone has a clue.Game was played on Playstation 1, in the 90's, I do remember the boy had some kind of kitchen material as a helmet, perhaps a colendar, the aliens were monster like black things if I recall correctly.

Have any of you noticed that video-gaming is a distraction?
Like you could be enjoying life instead of wasting countless hours on a video game What do you accomplish? Once you reach the highest level or get x amount of xp, you still don't gain anything in the real world Why not do something else?Trust me, I used to play Xbox 360 for hours on end I have a 30,000 gamerscore but I didn't gain anything, but less sleep and social awkwardness. Why would anyone want that? I know im gonna get some harsh replies but just think about it for a second.. is video gaming a distraction?Im not saying video gaming is ALL bad. Like if you play for 10 hours a day, thats bad, lol. Playing with your friends is alright. I do it all the time, haha
