How to test video games for a living?
Is this really possible? I've played games since I was 6, 20 now. If it really is possible to do this for a living, how would I go about getting a job for one of the gaming companies, or finding one that's hiring? Also, what could I go to college for to help me work for larger game companies and get paid more?
Where can I test video games?
Ok, So I have been looking every where. I can't find anything. I want to test video game's. I play video games a lot I turn 17 this may on the 9th. I do have a life by the way. I have friends but I mostly play video games and I would love to play video games and get paid. I don't care If I get paid 5 to 10 dollars a hour Look It's hard to find a job, I'm a drop out I dropped out I think It was before the last semester of my 9th grade, Cause I accidentally pulled a fire alarm. It really was a accident. Although I am getting my G.E.D. But I have applied for at least 4 or 5 different jobs. But tonight I just thought It would be the greatest job to play video games I thought to my self for a while did some thinking and Truthfully, Video games is half my life. So why not put this wonderful skill of playing video games too good use to make my life worth living.. So, If you are reading this and you know anybody out there that can PROBABLY set me up with a thing I can test video games at home, That would only pay only like 5 dollars a hour I would greatly Appreciate It.
What is the best company to test video games for? Or through which online site?
Pretty self explanatory, I want to test video games and need a good, reliable site or company to " hire" me. Any suggestions? I'm in the Seattle area if that helps for certain companies.Edit I'm a very tedious person and already send reviews to site devs so I'd just be getting pad to do it now lol.Thanks Raina, some good advice. Just so you know, I'll be doing this all summer, so at least 3 months of work uninterrupted. I fully understand the effort and responsibilities of the job and what it entails, and figured as much about the online scams.
How can I test video games?
Hello everybody. My name is Matt and I would like to be a video game tester. I have been looking at it for quite some time and plan to run my own business when I finish college. But I want to be a tester on the side at home. Is this even possible? I have been looking at sites like Activision, Microsoft, etc.None of the sites offer open testing. It would be nice if I got paid to test. I have been a " hardcore" gamer for quite some time. I especially like shooters like Halo, Call of Duty, and Bad Company. I would possibly like to test this kind of game. Is it even possible to try to become a tester? I don't even care if I get paid at first, I just want to get into that industry.If you can help, that would be great If not, that's fine too.Thanks MattGamer on a quest to become a tester
