What is the best way to make PC game run faster? Most of my games can run super fast on Ultra High, but for some reason, Prototype and Borderlands get choppy and ultra slow after 2 3 minutes. I am using game booster, and when I play, I put my resolution and graphics settings on lowest, yet it is still choppy. Is there anything I can disable to make it run smoother? I don't care if my graphics must be low, I just want smoother game play. I am running a GeForce 8200 on my computer. Not a laptop.

What I'd like to know is this Exactly what sort of computer languages programs are involved in making one of those popular games we see today such as Command and Conquer 3, Medieval 2 Total War, or Bioshock? I'm interested in the whole process from creating the game engine to creating sounds and skins. If you could give me some good links that deal with this stuff, that would be great. Thank you.I dont want to use game engines, nor do I want to create games. I only want to know what goes into making them. For example What computer languages are used to make game engines? Maybe C ? Others? What programs are used to create characters? animate them? Give them certain behavior? How is AI made? Which languages are used to write code for that?
